Bathing fun for young and old
827 m above the sea level, 3 km away from Mariazell the lake Erlaufsee is located on border of Styria and Lower Austria.
When sun is shining the lake is ideal for bathing fun. It offers a beach with pebble stones, a huge meadow, 2 water slides, 2 footbridges, a jumping area as well as a playground for children. Dogs are allowed in a small area (from the second footbridge to the meadow).
For hot days the mountain lake is a good place for refreshing. The average temperature in summer is 19-22 degrees.
The drinking water quality and the clearness of the water proof the proper and healthy environment. The bathing area is for free and everybody can enter. There is only a parking fee to pay (1st of May to the 26th of October, 08:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m., parking for a day € 7,20 – Attention: no change option – please have change ready!).
Outdoor Pool Mitterbach
At the foot of the mountain Gemeindealpe the outdoor pool Mitterbach is located. There parents and children can spend a relaxed day. The water in the 25×12,5 m pool is solar heated and ideal for bathing fun.
The pool also includes a children’s area. There children can swim and splash as they want. There also a 12x12m big pool for babies with a elephant slide is located.
It is also possible do learn diving in the outdoor pool Mitterbach or play beach volley ball. For your relaxation a meadow offers enough space and snacks and cold drinks you can get from the buffet.
